Then, you can't beat the 13th Annual Greenville Candlelight Charity 5K Run and Family Fun Run, which both take place on Saturday, June 20, 2009. The Family Fun Run starts at 8pm; the 5K begins at 9pm. Held on a candlelit course, they offer terrific ways to enjoy a summer Southern evening and help the community to boot.

Candlelight Run: The SuccessA major benefactor of the Candlelight Run is Jaycee Camp Hope, a Clemson, SC-based facility that caters to the mentally challenged. Designed to facilitate community, engagement, and independence, the camp focuses on people 8 years and above. While participants have fun and play games, they also learn to cooperate with others and to interact in group environments. |
