9. Peppermill

This dimly lit restaurant is great for business dinners or romantic rendez-vous. The last time I was there I started off with the Seafood Tower appetizer and it was delicious. Next, the mixed green salad was perfectly dressed. I then had the filet served Oscar-style and a fried (yes, FRIED) lobster tail. I was excited to try the lobster but the novelty wore off once I had a bite of the tough and chewy lobster...But I know for next time, and believe me, there will be many more next times at this incredible restaurant.

I have had the lamb chops and true they usually are a little fatty, but the veal, ostrich and escargot are outstanding. The ambiance is so pleasant for a relaxing evening by yourself or with a partner. Hopefully the wine list will be restocked the next time I visit; they didn't have several of the bottles I requested the last time I was there (they were restocking).

I ate here last night and the food and service were terrible. The menu is very basic for an upscale restaurant. I ordered Lamb Chops and they were so "fatty" that it was impossible to eat them. A huge disappointment.
