WEST END.   When news broke that this Charleston standout was planning to open a Greenville location, the public rejoiced – and for good reason. It's widely known that the folks behind High Cotton know how to impress, and that's just what this multilevel dining room does with its soaring glass walls and cool, contemporary space. Take in the view of the Reedy River as you savor an appetizer of seared Hudson Valley foie gras or jumbo lump crab Oscar. From there, main courses like sliced venison medallions, butternut squash, buttermilk-brined free range chicken or cornbread-crusted flounder should (and do) warrant your undivided attention. This restaurant dishes up the best Lowcountry food this side of Charleston. We moan over the fried buttermilk oysters garnished with arugula and dressed lightly in Green Goddess, and we can't stop ordering the duck hash wtih mustard 'cue sauce served wtih sunny-side-up eggs. (from Southern Living)

Nice View...Not much else I have tried High Cotton twice since moving to G-Ville 2 yrs ago. Nice setting/views but the food does not make it. I tried dinner & bar/appy & both times was very disappointed. Took family there for a birthday celebration & business associates for a bar/appy crawl & was disappointed both times....many other better places downtown..

Great Service / Great Food I've eating here for dinner about 4 times, and every time the service and food have been excellent. Yes, you pay for it, but it's worth it. As with any place, it can depend on what you order. I've had success with the Rabbit ... my first time eating Rabbit that i can recall. Very good. Others I was with all enjoyed what they ordered as well.
