SOUTH PLEASANTBURG.   Incredibly popular for lunch, the Pita House is always crowded. Still, the service is fast and the patrons are never rude. Plus, the food is great! Garlicky hummus, fresh-baked pita bread, stuffed grape leaves, and hot falafel will appease your appetite for something unusual. When you place your order at the counter, keep an eye out for a table. Turnover is quick, but seats are at a premium. The best deals are plates, which come with a sampling of several foods. Share with some friends, and don't forget the baklava.   (© 10Best)

The hummus here is some of my favorite. Great consistency, not too much lemon, perfect amount of garlic. The gyro meat is delicious as well. A very authentic restaurant. Their Jerusalem salad is so fresh! Don't expect an amazing atmosphere - but do expect great service and great food! P.S. Cash/Check ONLY!

I was surprised that the lunch menu focuses mainly on gyro meat and chicken. Their gyro meat I had was much too salty. Other 'Middle Eastern' restaurants I've visited in the region usually have a lunch version of their dinner meats such as lamb and beef kebab, as well. As for the attached store, their prices on many items was half or more less than the same item would be at a Publix, Bi-Lo or Harris Teeter, so for that they should be applauded.

Dont expect anything but great food. Kind of shabby inside but the food is awsome
