Depends on what you order ....
I've had more good experiences than bad ones ... and i think it's based on what you order. Their pizza, the Penne Goat, the house salad with shrimp is all good ... but most everything is average. It can get a bit loud in the restaurant (acoustics), but overall, it's a good fairly inexpensive place to eat.

It's good. It's not my first choice when going to downtown but they have a fun atmosphere and good food. My wife and I have been a couple times and have usually settled for their pasta or salads.

One thing an Italian restaurant should be able to do and that is to cook the basic pasta. Right? The stuffed shell was so overcooked it was gooey. I will not go back.

I can't believe this place gets good ratings. I've only eaten here once so maybe I was there on a very bad day. I ordered stuffed pasta shells. The pasta was so overcooked it was squishy. The "stuffing" part wasn't tasty at all. Our waiter had a bit of an attitude, and this was before we even ordered. I won't go back.

Consistently good food. The brick oven pizzas are great--LOVE the goat cheese pizza! The pastas are good--always try the specials, they are normally excellent. We also try to save room for a chocolate espresso mouse---YUMMY. Sitting outside is fun in the spring in the afternoons and people watching...But on the weekends expect a wait on a table of about 45 minutes, but you can sit at the bar and enjoy a glass of wine while you wait.

One of my favorites in Greenville. Not just a great value, but one of Greenville's best in my opinion.

I love everything about Trio. They say that they don't take reservations, but I called ahead and got in right away for a big party. The service is always good, and the pizzas and calzones are great. There's a reason this place is always crowded!
