DOWNTOWN.   Simple and traditional, this diner is straightforward in decor and tone. The country cooking, a favorite of local residents, is flavorful but definitely not for dieters. Eggs are the star at breakfast, and at lunch, you can't go wrong with the meat and three. The vegetable plate is also popular; choose from items such as fried okra, creamed corn, fresh greens, fried green tomatoes and mashed potatoes. My wife and I stopped in on a Sunday morn for breakfast while travelling from Atlanta back to Ohio. We thought the food was great and the service the best. It was straight southern hospitality and home cooking - the best!!
