NORTH PLEASANTBURG.
Regulars can't say enough good things about this unassuming eatery set apart from Greenville's main dining clusters. Owner Rosalinda Sala has culled an enormous number of authentic recipes, and the menu reflects their breadth. Each dish is crafted of market-fresh ingredients: grilled steaks and chicken, sauteed shrimp, marinated pork, and fish dressed with a variety of sauces. Fabulous tacos, burritos, enchiladas and quesadillas are available as well. Signature creations include Rosalinda's tomatillo salsa, her lamb tacos, and the michelada, a Mexican beer tinged with lime and spices.

I found Fosalindas to be a bit over-priced. If the items were $2.00 cheaper it might be worth it but with El Molcajete being right across the parking lot you might as well go to El Molcajet b/c it's cheaper and very tasty (tacos de asada!!)

As the first reviewer said, this is not your typical Mexican restaurant. The food was prepared to order from fresh ingredients, nothing out of the can. I ordered the chicken fajita with vegetables and it was delicious. The vegetables included fresh green beans, asparagus, eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, and onions. The chicken melted in your mouth. The sauce was light and fresh tasting. My friend ordered the sea bass and said it was also delicious. This type of food is usually only found in very expensive, fancy restaurants. The service was super too. Can't beat this restaurant for creativity, taste, service and price.

The on line menu and pictures looked very good and I thought that I would try some of the more expense items on the menu that the restaurant said were good. Unfortunately I picked the ribeye steak (restaurant menu) with scallops and shrimp. On the on-line menu it was a T-bone and when it arrived at the table it was a T-bone steak. There is a saying here in Greenville SC “tougher than a Bi-Lo (a local grocery store) steak ... well this steak certainly was from Bi-Lo. It was about ¼ inch thick and chewy with gristle and not much taste. The shrimp were over cooked. The seafood platter had the same problem with over cooked shrimp. The chips were hard and a little oily; the green chile sauce was hot and tasty.
On the good side... the appetizer of cheese dip was very good. The rice and black beans were tasty as was the sauce that accompanied the steak.
I would not go back but maybe I just ordered items that most people don’t eat at this restaurant (hint – take it off the menu). I consider this restaurant very over priced, even if the food was of good quality.
