WEST END.   CNN gave the world a brief glimpse of one of Greenville's food treasures when John Edwards made a stop at OJ's Diner during his 2007 political campaign. This Pendleton Street meat and three serves up some of the most distinctive homestyle cookery this side of your grandmother's kitchen, and they do it with a brand of Southern-spun hospitality you just don't find much anymore. Rumor has it that this is the best fried chicken in town, and staples like sweet tea and collards are done to perfection. I just discovered OJ's diner last month, and have made it my mission to try everything on the menu. So far, everything has been terrific. I'm tempted to walk in and just tell the servers behind the counter to surprise me. Its too hard to choose! The fried chicken is incredible, but the meatloaf, turkey & dressing, pork chops, and fish are great choices too. This isn't the dry, bland food you find at other meat & 3's. Only wish they were open for dinner.
