1. Chophouse '47

The Chophouse is a great restaurant with a very nice ambiance. The great food, the excellent service and Frank's music makes for a relaxing evening.

This place has yummy steaks.

This is a great restaurant to dine well and relax. "Best" is subjective. It is considered best by some. Vertical wine list for many finer cabs, great quality and well prepared food.. And it's great that it's not kid friendly! Some places simply aren't, and that's a good thing. Rednecks and idiots may not understand this, but they don't understand fine dining experiences, great chefs, high quality service or tipping. Let em stay at Ryans on the buffet. Please.

I've eaten here a couple of times and I don't get all the hype about this place......must be the darkness. The food is good but I've eaten better steaks in G'ville for much less $$$$.

Chophouse'47 is not family friendly. They do not welcome families with children. Their food is excellent and worthy of 4 stars. Poor management really hurts this restaraunt and deserves no stars. Overall, 2 stars.

Overated......not the best restaurant in G'ville

Chophouse 47 is a MUST whenever I am in the GSP area. The place absolutely oozes atmosphere -- great music and wonderful food and service -- the lights are pleasantly low, yet strategically placed so I've never had a problem reading the menu. I half-way expect to see Frank Sinatra come around the corner. It is that kind of place.

Love it! Service is excellent and the steak is wonderful. Other entrees are tasty too.

The food and service were very good. However, the price is very high, and it is simply too dark. I had a very hard time reading the menu. Also, the atomsphere is noisy.

It really is dark in here! Whoa, I have been several times and while I enjoyed the food...nothing really WOWed me... I also feel the food is overpriced for what feels like a big chain steak house.

It is dark in there. Menu is a strict chophouse. Steak and sides. Nothing inventive or novel here. Good quality meat. Decent wine list. Wished it was a little brighter inside. It was hard to see what I was eatting.

I think that the place is a little dark but overall it's a great chop house.
