Perfect Night
Took some clients to Rick Erwin's last week. Several business associates had recomended the restaurant. All I can say is PERFECT! The Staff was very warm and friendly from the moment we arrived. The waiter made a great, (and affordable for a large group) wine recomendation and his knowledge of the menu was stunning. By the time the waiter (I think his name was Mike) got done telling us about the specials and house favorites we were all drooling. The food was pricey but I felt like the quality, service and overall experience was well worth it. Rick Erwin visited our table to make sure all was well. Will definitly return.

GREAT FOOD...WATCH OUT FOR YOUR GPS
Have eaten here several times...both at the bar for appy's/drinks & in the dining room. Food is great....service is good & sometimes not good. A word of caution...if you use the valet service...it is not owned by the restaurant....make sure you lock away anything you deem valuable....I parked with valet at the end of June & later found my GPS missing. I had put it in my console but didnt lock it....I will go back but not with anything valuable in my car IF I use their valet service.

Pricey, but good
Food is consistently good. Service is great. Price, little pricey, but overall a great experience and worth the money.

Great atmosphere but that can't make up for the poor service and mediocre food. Our waiter acted like he was doing us a favor to stop by the table. My steak was overcooked but by the time the waiter came back to check our table I didn't care about sending it back. I finished my over-priced bottle of wine and paid the bill well north of $100. I won't waste anymore money here. There are many better choices in town for much less money and much better service.

Not only was the food very good but our waiter was very professional, knowledgeable and personable. My only complaint is, the small serving was too big. How bad can that be?

Great food. Even better bar scene. One of the only restaurants in Greenville with valet parking.

I appreciated the atmosphere. It's a great place for business meetings. The choice of small or large dinner portions gave me the opportunity to try the calamari appetizer, the lettuce wedge, and the french onion soup before my meal arrived. Our South African waiter was very efficient and knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. I had a fish as my main course and it was flavorful but not overpowering. The cheesecake is flown in from New York. I also had a glass of Ice Wine, which is a luxury item. Top knotch all the way. Be prepared to spend some money here!

I have been to Rick Erwin’s twice and will continue to go back for the dinning experience and the lively bar scene. What a wonderful place to relax, enjoy great company and celebrate! As soon as I walked in the door, everyone was friendly. This went on all night long, and the staff was a pure delight. Their knowledge of the menu and their customer-friendly attitude made both evenings extremely enjoyable. While the pricing is a little above the moderate class, this is well worth it … And many items on their menu are available as small or large plates, which is nice for those who eat smaller portions. The tables are set with crisp white tablecloths and candles; the food (from the crab cakes to the filets and pasta dishes) is excellent; and they have an extensive wine list. Desserts like crème brûlée and homemade cheesecake are far too tempting to pass up. The bar area is considered a top spot to see and be seen scene, the bartenders are wonderful and very friendly, and the music makes the setting even more impressive.

I visited Rick Erwins on a recent Girl's Night Out. It is a great restaurant to take a client, a date, or a group of friends. There are a variety of seating options including tables for 2, round tables that seat about 6, and a long bench with tables stretching through the middle of the restaurant that could accomadate large groups. Our server was attentive, personable, and good for a few laughs. When with a large or small group, several servers deliver the plates and time it so that food is placed in front of each guest at the same time – a very nice touch. I ordered the crabcakes, which were delicious, while others at my table ordered off of the steak menu. The steaks were prepared exactly as ordered and were also delicious. Many items on their menu are available as small or large plates, which is nice for those who eat smaller portions or want to leave room for a salad and dessert. The prices were reasonable for the food and atmosphere; however on the single girl budget, it is only affordable for special occassions.

The food and scenery was very nice; however, the service left so much to be desired. I made reservations for my party, and it was at least 10 minutes before anyone spoke to me and I got some water, at the very least. We didn't get a bottle of wine until I had been there for 35 minutes. Once we ordered, the food came timely ... I thought the place had redeemed itself somewhat until I got home and realized that my take home box only had half of the food that I had ordered ... I don't know if this was a one-time bad experience, but it will take some convincing for me to come back here. For the type of restaurant it is and the prices, I expect much more.
