DOWNTOWN.   Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria is appropriately named for the things they do best: beer and pizza. But this is better than just beer and pizza. Barley's offers an enormous variety of specialty beers on tap and by the bottle, and their pizza is truly some of the best anywhere. Other menu items are good, but the pizza is the real reason to dine here. This is a great place to go with a group if you want to enjoy yourself without keeping your voices down. The high ceilings of this old building make for a fun atmosphere. Barley's has a small platform stage where local musicians often perform.   (© 10Best)

A personal favorite, although don't go here if you're in a hurry. The service is great, but I think it's perfect for a weekend with some friends to enjoy a pizza and beer. If you want to get in and out quicker, consider them for lunch, as they usually run nice lunch specials. They have a white pizza that is excellent and their calzones are huge. They have a wide variety of draft and bottled beers. They have a wide range of ciders, light beers, European beers and more.
