About 10Best's Greenville Restaurants Selections:
Integrating local traditions, culinary trends and international influences, Greenville offers an eclectic dining scene. A number of the city's top restaurants are located downtown, where patrons enjoy the fun atmosphere and convenience to hotels, bars and attractions. Overlooking Main Street, Restaurant O boasts an ultra-hip vibe and has been known to attract visiting celebs, while its sister restaurant down the road, Soby's, offers a contemporary, gourmet spin on Southern cuisine. International eateries are received by an enthusiastic local clientele, and the offerings have expanded from standbys like Italian, Mexican and Chinese cuisine to include less familiar fare, such as Vietnamese, Indian and Middle Eastern. However the influx of new flavors has yet to overrun favorite local traditions such as the meat'n'three, a homestyle restaurant that specializes in a plate of meat, often fried chicken or pork, BBQ, turkey or roast beef – with three side items that might include cooked veggies, mac'n'cheese, potatoes or rice. You'll find them all over town, but Tommy's Country Ham House and Stax's Original are classic examples.

Excellent food, beautifully prepared (I took pictures of my calamari sushi, it was so lovely) and friendly, professional servers (what a lovely combination, yet so hard to find...). Seafood flown in daily – I believe from Hawaii. House specialty dessert (hot chocolate souffle) takes 20 minutes to prepare, but it is worth the wait! Atmosphere – metro modern, very relaxing...As good as, if not better, than anything else we have in town and no parking issues.

Capri's has been a Greenville classic for decades. There are still some "old-timers" around who remember eating their first pizza at Capri's! It is still a great place for excellent Italian food in a comfortable neighborhood atmosphere. Locals love their chopped sirloin dinner, the toasted ravioli, and any of the pasta selections.

This place is for those who are looking for that little cantina they left behind while on a Mexican holiday. Warm corn tortillas, tecate or jarritios for the kids, and the best fajitas in town. The other dishes sadly do not stand out as outstanding; however, the beans are good and free chips and fantastic salsa. Here’s a little secret, ask for some salsa verde too, all homemade with fresh tomatillos - it'll knock your socks off! The lunch specials are a good value, but once you try the fajitas you won’t want anything else!

HORRIBLE!! If you're into paying 5X as much for fast-food quality food, this is the place for you! Service was bad and food was worse... don't bother! My fish tasted like fish sticks directly from the freezer!

I grew up in NJ in a small town that had four Italian restaurants, and Giovanni's can hold its own with any of them. When my family from NJ comes to visit we always go to Giovanni's because they have the best marinara and red seafood sauce you will ever taste. You could eat it with a spoon for dessert. I also recommend the calamari appetizer...out of this world. Tell everyone that you know who appreciates true authentic italian food, that we have a gem of a restaurant in Greenville. Once you eat at Giovanni's you'll never go back to The Olive Garden!!!

As one of Greer's best kept secrets, Janet's Eatery is one of the most popular destinations when people come to town. It certainly isn't your typical small town restaraunt. It's appeal is centered around creating a warm, inviting atmosphere as if you were in the comfort of your home eating the best southern food available. With a family-friendly atmosphere and a great staff, Janet's Eatery should be at the top of the list!

Everything freshly prepared by the owner, Karrie. Homemade sides are wonderful! Salads are always fresh. Karrie cuts her deli meats daily. Staff very friendly. Great view of the mountains. Very clean restaurant. Not to mention, the best Reuben in town!

In business for over 20 years, this is a family owned and operated business. From burgers and hot dogs to baby clubs and chicken fingers, they've got it all. Try their famous "Hungry Greek," ground beef with onions and special spices, lettuce, tomato, mayo on a large hoagie roll, fries and two onion rings for garnish. Big enough to split, people come from towns away just to get it. With old car photos, classic games, and so much to look at you'll enjoy the food and atmosphere. Their old fashioned banana splits are awesome too!!

Incredible filet mignon... best I've ever had! The sea bass is great, huge shrimp cocktail!Tremendous wine list, and wait until you try the shrimp and grits – you won't believe you're in the upstate – you'll swear you're in Charleston! The servers are great, the atmosphere is comfortable, and place feels like home – you can't go wrong!

Mary's at Falls Cottage is a wonderful place to have lunch with colleagues, friends, or your partner. They serve sandwiches, salads, and desserts. Some highlights include a BBQ chicken quesadilla, chicken salad croissant, chicken and goat cheese salad, and a to-die-for roasted veggie wrap. Save room to split a piece of chocolate lava cake. Outdoor dining overlooking Falls Park is available on nice days.
