5. Island Beach

This park is located on four acres of land and provides a number of activities for children and adults alike to enjoy. Picnic areas and concession stands allow visitors to spend an entire day on the island without having to go hungry. The true outdoors men and women can bring their tents and occupy a space in the campground. Since it's accessible only by boat, the beach is open according to the ferry schedule, roughly from mid-June to mid-September. Town of Greenwich Park/Beach Pass required.   (© 10Best)
