(based on 1 user rating)  EDITOR REVIEW: An intimate dining space considered by some to be Halifax's primo restaurant, daMaurizio is housed in the ever popular restored Alexander Keith's Brewery. This elegant restaurant utilizes exposed brick work and large columns to produce a dramatic interior with a sophisticated ambiance. Tables are draped in starched white linen and bedecked with fresh flowers. Just as much attention is dedicated to the Northern Italian menu as well. Starters such as sautéed mussels with leeks, tomato, garlic and white wine and fresh, local smoked salmon layered with cucumber and horseradish mascarpone beckon diners to begin an exquisite culinary journey. The adventure continues with main dishes such as pumpkin stuffed ravioli, oven roasted veal tenderloin and seared sea bass with roasted garlic and ends with desserts like chocolate custard and homemade Italian gelati.
