From its strange name to its eclectic interior space, this establishment is a must visit on your short list of things to do in Halifax. The "Shoe," as it's affectionately known in short, boasts four distinct dining/drinking spots that serve bistro eats and cold drinks. The different areas include The Backstage, The Diamond, The Shoe and the Belgian Bar. The Backstage space features arched walls, heavy doors, exposed beams and mosaic tile while The Diamond features leaded glass, iron railings and a 50's jukebox. The Shoe is the original space that started it all; a place designed by the owners to be a spot for a drink with friends that was signaled by a vintage neon sign that read, you guessed it, "Economy Shoe Shop." After deciding on your destination within The Shoe, order one of their tasty dishes like the Curry Chicken and Scallop Linguini, the Leffe Pepper Steak or the Salmon Roulade.
