Naturally landscaped, this 40-acre park fans out from the State Capitol. Created by the landscape architect who had a hand in designing New York's Central Park, Bushnell Park features 150 species of trees, a 1914 carousel (open May - September), and a large memorial dedicated to the soldiers and sailors of the Civil War.
