5. Strawberry Visitor Center

The Strawberry Reservoir, located about a half-hour's drive from Heber City, is known for its abundant population of trout and kokanee salmon. Utah's top fishery, the reservoir attracts scores of fishermen, who come to try their luck with the large specimens. The visitors center has an exhibit on the creation of the reservoir and the maintenance of its fishery. In the spring and fall, visitors can see fish spawning in the river and can also watch scientists remove eggs that will be taken to the hatcheries and given special care. The area is also a terrific place to watch local birds, and signs along the nature trail provide information about their habitats.   (© 10Best)
