MIDWAY.   The chalet styling of this restaurant could almost convince you that you're in the Alps. Wood-and-stucco walls, Tyrolean murals, lace curtains, and dried flowers contribute to the theme, and authentic music plays in the background. The menu, however, is largely American, prepared to order and affordable. Desserts are also fantastic, and patrons often come for them alone. Among the temptations are brownies, cobblers, carrot cake, cheesecake, key lime pie, and chocolate confections. Accompany them with coffee or hot tea, and your day is already a bit sweeter.
