5. Fanny's Grill

MIDWAY.   Named for the wife of this resort's original owner, Fanny's Grill is a great place for a relaxed meal. Dark green walls and ceilings are hung with framed prints of fruits and vegetables, and a stone fireplace adds character. From the abundance of windows, guests can look out over the golf course and a small duck pond. The lunch menu includes a variety of soups, salads, and sandwiches. You can opt for something light like fresh fruit and cottage cheese, or look to a Reuben or roasted Portobello sandwich.
