HELEN. Head north on Helen's Main Street, and just a few minutes outside of town you'll find yourself at the entrance to Unicoi State Park. This popular park is revered for its 20-mile network of trails (12 for hikers, 8 for mountain bikers), some of which lead south into Helen and others as far north as enchanting Anna Ruby Falls. If hiking's not your thing, the park also features a lake and beach, canoe and paddle boat rentals, fishing docks, and even a ropes course. The lodge, meanwhile, has a restaurant, tennis courts, 100 guest rooms, 30 cottages and several modern and primitive campsites.
