SALT BLOCK.   A perennial favorite of young folks from around the county, this educational museum offers ample opportunity to learn, discover, and play. Exhibits make the most of local topography, biology, and botany, teaching kids about the world just beyond their front doors. Weather is also addressed, an actual stream provides opportunity for fun, and small animals teach respect for life of all sorts. Great place for children. Hands on activities are interesting and offer a chance to learn. Exhibits change fairly frequently so there's usually something new to see. Definitely something to check out if you have little ones. I wouldn't recommend it for older teens. Late night laser light shows would be of interest to some adults. Planetary equipment is state of the art. Aquariums offer hands on fun with stingrays and other sea creatures.
