4. Hickory Community Theatre

DOWNTOWN.   This long-lived theater has been delighting Hickory folks since 1949, when its first show premiered. In the years since, the place's popularity has only increased, and today, HCT's season includes internationally known plays as well as ones by local dramatists. Two stages host a variety of productions, including "Glengarry Glen Ross," "Guys & Dolls," "To Kill a Mockingbird," and "Charlotte's Web."
