HIGHWAY 70.
Hearty dining is a guarantee at this rustic restaurant, which offers plenty of rough-hewn wood detailing and Western accoutrements. You can tell from the faces of folks entering that they know good things are in store, and with a substantial menu of steaks, ribs, and chicken, Bennett's ably supplies them. If you crave something lighter, an extensive soup and salad bar lets you put together your own healthy meal. Family- and group-friendly.

You aren't allowed to share your food...that stinks. The place is smokier than R.J.Reynolds bread room and would gag a maggot. The people who seat you look as if they've been sucking on a lemon all day. The food is overpriced,& most of the time too dry.It just isn't a good place to eat.

Abhorrent. While purporting to be a Texas Smokehouse, nothing could be further from the truth. The group I was with had the brisket, sausage, chicken, and pork shoulder. All meats were poorly prepared. The beef was dry nearly to the point of being inedible. The sausage was pedestrian at best and the chicken and pork were just poor in general. As an apptizer, the "chips" were fantastic, but for dessert, the cobbler was even more of a let-down than the meats. The service also was lacking. All this in mind - the chips are the only redeeming quality.
