6. Snack Bar

WEST HICKORY.   Years ago, this restaurant was known as a place where you could park your car under an awning and get curb service. Although that's no longer available, the great food that the Snack Bar built its reputation on still is. While take-out is available, most folks choose to eat inside and take advantage of the terrific, home-cooked fare, which features a host of Southern dishes. Plates give you the full experience, complete with meat and vegetables, but burgers and sandwiches are available as well.   (© 10Best)

The food varies too much. Hard biscuits..some great waitresses, some horrible. Not the cleanest place in town. Good iced tea. much better hamburgers at dozens of other places. Business has fallen off since they started charging for extra biscuits. I know we've dropped off 90%.
