HICKORY.   Diners find much to applaud at this Japanese steakhouse, which combines great food and culinary acrobatics. Patrons gather at large, communal tables, watching animated chefs slice, sautée, and prepare healthy portions of meat, seafood, rice, and vegetables for appreciative onlookers. Kids, especially, can't seem to get enough of the spectacle, although it's a favorite of young and old alike. The best Japanese food in Hickory. If you are a sushi lover, the sushi bar is absolutely a 10. Be sure to try the tempura rolls.
