(based on 2 user ratings) EDITOR REVIEW: NORTH HILTON HEAD. With exhibits and activities inside and out, the Coastal Discovery Museum is a fun family outing no matter the weather or the time of year. Learn all about the history and ecology of the area, or schedule a tour – there are many to choose from, including beach walks, dolphin cruises, plantation tours, and trolley tours. During the summer months, the Turtle Talk and Walk is probably the most popular offering. Start your visit to Hilton Head at the Coastal Discovery Museum, and you'll fully appreciate the island. Exhibits explain the story of Lowcountry ecology and regular outings organized by the museum include: guided walks along the beach, beginner-level kayaking, and pontoon boat cruises.
