SHELTER COVE.
Half-day outings to Daufuskie Island and dolphin cruises which can only be accessed by boat. Upon arrival, a golf cart is provided for getting around this picturesque, history-laden island that was used as the setting in Pat Conroy's novel, "The Water is Wide." Visit the one-room Island Elementary School, First Union Baptist Church, circa 1880 and the Mary Dunn Cemetery with gravestones dating back to the late 1790's.
