7. Hudson's On the Docks

An island institution, this waterside seafood house opened in 1967. Fans sit at tables topped with blue and white checkered cloths and devour buckets of steamed oysters, crab legs and peel-and-eat shrimp with cocktail sauce and drawn butter. First the good. The server was nice, the appetizer was varied and yummy. The hushpuppies were good, and the cole slaw was tasty. The bad? The catch of the day was overcooked and dry. At $22, I expected more than dry fish. The Ugly? My daughter had to kill a roach that crawled down the wall.
