Alligator Grille

SEA PINES RESORT. Patrons are pleased when they enter this subtle but elegant dining room, located right outside Sea Pines. Glass goblets, white linens and a vase of flowers adorn each table, and a long metallic bar adjoins the space. Specializing in eclectic seafood concoctions, the kitchen turns out creations such as wreckfish grilled with cantaloupe water, served with prosciutto-tomato salad and baby green beans. The namesake dish, the alligator grille duo, features mango barbecued alligator ribs and flash fried fritters. Wrap up your evening with a blissful Italian Mistress (cafe latte, amaretto and vanilla vodka) and a bite of crème brulee or chocolate caramel pyramid. $14 pre-theater menu available until 5:45pm.
