1. Disney's Hilton Head Resort

My family and I have been to Disney numerous times, and decided to drive down the last time and make a stop @ Hilton Head. Well I wish we would have had more time to stay...what a wonderful place to stay with a wonderful atmosphere...I’ve also been to the other Disney off site time share Vero Beach ..and although nice pails in comparison.

I am a member of the Disney Vacation Club and time-share owner at their Hilton Head Resort. Our family has been to about a zillion places and this remains our favorite. Quiet, laid back style with all the Disney quality and service, but without the overly busy atmosphere of some of Disney’s other resorts. Great beach house facility for guests only, spacious beach area, beautiful biking trails and plenty of restaurants to keep you busy. Resort is on its own island with plenty of privacy, but also at Shelter Cove Harbor that offers a wide variety of excursions (dolphin watching, sunset cruise\meals, deep sea fishing, etc, etc.) Check this place out for a great relaxed family vacation...or just as good for a couple.

A great site for families that does of good job of providing well conceived programs while doing the Disney thing in a low-key way. Ocean-side lodge on the other side of the island is close-by and nicely done. Some problems getting bike trailers (none available the entire week we were there). Needs a better business office facility for working vacations (unfortunately). Car required to really explore HH Island. Not much variability in dining options at the resort, could use a decent restaurant but access outside the resort is good. Question regarding long-term availability as they sell the units, but in the meantime a great spot for family vacation. Spent 6 days there and could have spent more! Dolphin watching, beachcombing, and sea kayaking tours were very nicely done.
