5. Nan Lian Garden

KOWLOON.   This 3.5 hectare (about 8.5 acres) park was designed to complement the adjacent Chi Lin Nunnery, which also has lovely gardens. A one-way path meanders through the park, passing attractive pavilions, bonsai and an abundance of flowers along the way. A charming tea house and a vegetarian restaurant provide sustenance should you feel peckish (and eating is not allowed anywhere else in the park). This is a very popular park – if the crowds are big you may be given a timed ticket to return later in the day.   (© 10Best)
