10. Tiger Balm Gardens

WAN CHAI.   Not the most pristine or well-tended park, but what this one lacks in sparkle it makes up for with history and ambience. The park was built in 1935 by a millionaire businessman who made his fortune selling Tiger Balm, an ointment that is still popular today. The park features statues of mythical figures, and many people are startled by the crumbling mural that depicts the nine degrees of hell.   (© 10Best)
