The Buzz -- This 18-day event is actually a series of celebrations: the birthdays of deities Tin Hau, the Lord Buddha and Tam Kung, and the Cheung Chau Bun Festival. Festivities tend to center around the numerous temples throughout the city, and include parades, lion dances, numerous religious ceremonies, music and food. The Cheung Chau Bun Festival takes place on Cheung Chau Island near the Pak Tai Temple and culminates with a carnival-style parade complete with costumed children on stilts!
