WAN CHAI.   Named for an Italian film studio, this classy Italian restaurant capitalizes on a theme with big black and white film, a glass walled wine cellar, and a certain 1950s style allure. It's a perfect setting for the fabulous classics: fresh, handmade pastas with delicate or robust sauces, roasted lamb, citrus-marinated fish, Parma ham wrapped beef tournedos with gorgonzola. The wine list, as you'd expect, is exceptional, as is the selection of artisanal grappas.   (© 10Best)

Excellent restaurant, but, man, do you pay for it. Prices are pretty fabulous. You'll have a good time, but save up for it!
