WAN CHAI.
Named for an Italian film studio, this classy Italian restaurant capitalizes on a theme with big black and white film, a glass walled wine cellar, and a certain 1950s style allure. It's a perfect setting for the fabulous classics: fresh, handmade pastas with delicate or robust sauces, roasted lamb, citrus-marinated fish, Parma ham wrapped beef tournedos with gorgonzola. The wine list, as you'd expect, is exceptional, as is the selection of artisanal grappas.

Excellent restaurant, but, man, do you pay for it. Prices are pretty fabulous. You'll have a good time, but save up for it!
