I wholeheartedly recommend Art Treasures Gallery. Their warehouse in Zhuhai is an Aladdin's cave of antiques in various states of renovation. The great thing is that its all authentic, great value and you oversee the whole process - from selecting an old piece in serious need of repair to talking through with Andy and Vicky how it will be renovated by their expert craftsmen. For the less ambitious there is also a wide range of recently refurbished furniture available too. Having moved to Singapore 18 months ago I have continued to buy and ship items from Zuhai - everything has always been organized and arranged very efficiently. We've been buying antiques from Andy and Vickie for years and highly recommend Arts Treasures Gallery. Their small showroom on Hollywood Rd primarily displays porcelain, pottery, and terra cotta figures. The real surprise is their huge antique warehouse and restoration workshop in Zhouhai. This is just jammed to the gunnels with dusty and aging antique chairs, tables, cabinets, Tibetan chests, boxes, and accessory pieces all waiting to be refurbished. It's an absolutely amazing place where you can while away hours browsing these "in-the-raw" antiques. We always find it hard to come away without buying something. Having chosen what you want, the items are then refurbished and shipped onto you, wherever you are based. When we first visited Arts Treasures Gallery's Zhouhai warehouse back in 1997, what was most apparent was the professionalism and knowledge of Andy, Vickie and their team. Just liaise with Andy or Vickie and they will arrange to pick you up from either the Macau border crossing or from the Zhouhai ferry terminal. A visit to Art Treasures Gallery Zhouhai antiques warehouse is a must.
