ALA MOANA.   From high on the 36th floor, guests are treated to stunning views of the city – an apt complement to Aaron's well-considered cuisine. Traditional dishes benefit from a touch of Asian or Mediterranean style and evoke murmurs of surprise for their innovation. Among the delicacies you'll discover are porcini-crusted ahi loin, a grilled rib-eye with gorgonzola crust, and a blackened pork chop with pineapple marmalade. Diver scallops and lobster also prove tempting. A private room in the glass-enclosed wine cellar is available for special occasions, and the restaurant's status as a terrific after-hours nightclub is recognized throughout Honolulu.   (© 10Best)

We visited Aaron's right after our wedding on Oahu and it was a terrible experience. I was told I'd have a semi-private room, which apparently is just a long table in the middle of the restaurant, while the GM wined and dined his family in the actual semi-private room. The waiters make you feel ridiculous if you ask a question about the menu and if something is delivered incorrectly it seems they make it your fault. Also, as the Waikiki and Honolulu skylines are really nothing to look at, it made little sense to me after having thought about it to visit a high-rise restaurant on Oahu...perhpaps in San Fran or NYC, but Hawaii?? Just a bad experience all around and I would advise all visitors to go to Ducs in Chinatown or even Hula's for better food, better service, and a better view.
