I have had my Serta Perfect Day Pillowtop for 4 months now and have fell in love with it. Now I understand why Serta is the largest mattress manufacturer. MATTRESS COILS - What I have discovered is that Serta may have thinner gauge wire (14-3/4 FreeFlex) than other brands but has more coils. The larger number (800) of thinner gauge coils will support the same amount of weight as lessor number of thicker gauge coils. The advantage of more coils is less vacant spots and the ability to add additional coils around the edge where you sit and down the middle where you lay. This point sold me on their coil system. UPDATE: July 2005 - My Serta Perfect Day Pillowtop is holding up very well. Still sleeps as comfortable as it did brand new and I'm still as snug as a bug in a rug. I never have to count sheep since I am too busy sleeping. When it is time for me to purchase another mattress for the home, I will get definitely choose Serta again. UPDATE: Febraury 2008 - I am still as happy as can be with my Serta Mattress. Still looks brand new and sleeps as when it was brand new almost 7 years ago.
