KAKAAKO. A younger crowd frequents this off-the-main-drag nightclub, which carves out space in a former warehouse. Drinking and dancing are favored pastimes, and music includes hip-hop and R&B, spun by talented DJs. ALA MOANA. If college is more memory than experience for you, this nightclub may be just what you're looking for. Its slightly older clientele appreciates good times but not to the point of blacking out. Rather, they enjoy mixing and dancing, especially to favorite tunes from the '60s, '70s, and '80s, as well as to more recent recordings. The club's open space also plays host to a variety of videos playing on multiple screens, and special nights are devoted to such activities as karaoke and ballroom dancing. Groups are welcomed, and good times are paramount.
