WAIKIKI. Its hours are odd, and the decor is unexceptional, but Eggs 'n Things more than compensates with great breakfast foods and a friendly, colorful staff. Since 1974, the classic eatery has dished up pancakes, crepes, and waffles to grateful crowds, who also appreciate the terrific omelets and fresh fish. Lines can be long, and the agony of choosing from numerous options can be crippling, but it's a delicious pain – one that you'll savor before long. Just ask anybody in line. An institution.

WAIKIKI. Shore Bird's unusual claim to fame is its dinnertime cook-your-own entrees. However, the restaurant also offers an all-you-can-eat breakfast that's a great value given the selection of items. MANOA VALLEY. In the 1920s, girls were instructed in homemaking at what is now the Waioli Tea Room. Today, that tradition of domestic gentility continues at this charming eatery. Known for its high tea and scrumptious desserts, the establishment also serves a delicious breakfast. Along with eggs and bacon, patrons may choose from pastries, fruit, omelets, Belgian waffles, frittatas, breakfast burritos, and quiche. Naturally, the restaurant's own special coffees and teas are served, and group events are welcomed.
