2. Grand Texas Tomball

New Theme Park in Tomball Tomball, Texas - July 2, 2009 - Local group intends to develop a theme park, based on Texas history and culture in Tomball. The park is to be called Grand Texas and will include a western style Main Street featuring authentic style buildings, wagons and stagecoaches as well as costumed performers and stunt shows. The park itself will encompass about 100 acres and will include petting zoos, pony rides and farm based entertainment in one area, zip lines, obstacle courses, rock wall climbing and similar activities in another. The park will also include a paintball facility with several fields that use movie sets and similar construction to create motifs for some paintball fields, while a traditional paintball field will be developed as well. An indoor facility will house more traditional entertainment activities like indoor rock climbing, an extensive arcade, pizza kitchen, and laser tag. This facility, Boomtown, will also have less traditional activities like a mechanical bull. All of the activities are based on Texas history or Texas cultures. Live entertainment will be provided on weekends, although the park will be open all week long.
