PASADENA. This wildlife refuge and nature preserve occupies 2500 acres and is one of only four state coastal preserves in Texas. It has the distinction of being located on the Central Flyway, a North American migratory bird route, so bird-watching is an incredible, varied prospect. The preserve offers miles of walking trails, wildlife exhibits, and original regional ecosystems. It also features Martyn Farm, which educates visitors about 19th-century agricultural life, and it offers canoe and pontoon boat tours.
