CEREDO. Built in 1858 by Z. D. Zamsdell, an ardent anti-slavery proponent who moved to Ceredo from Maine, this old brick house is believed to have been a stop on the Underground Railroad. A word to the wise: Civil War graves are rumored to be on the premises, and some town residents believe the house to be inhabited by spirits from beyond.
