 EDITOR REVIEW: DOWNTOWN. A primary recipient of Huntington's renewed interest (and investment) in its past is its charming downtown, a phalanx of turn-of-the-century, red-brick buildings and their more modern counterparts. Broad, tree-lined sidewalks lead past friendly storefronts, restaurants, and bars. In addition to shopping and dining, the downtown area also boasts noteworthy sights, including Ninth Street Plaza (at the heart of the business district), a handful of 19th-century churches, Heritage Village, and lovely Harris Riverfront Park.
