YARMOUTH PORT. Although it had several owners, this circa-1840 Greek Revival home is remembered for the sea captain who last inhabited it. Parts of the home actually date to 1740, because an earlier structure on the present site was moved to a nearby location to serve as a store. In its place, a more modern building was raised and constructed around the original. These days, the home has been restored to its 19th-century status and features period furnishings, artwork, and accessories. The 18th-century cellar kitchen is a particularly notable aspect of the white clapboard house.
