4. Veterans Beach

HYANNIS.   Although it does front the harbor, this beach is actually more of a park. It sits adjacent to the JFK Memorial and is a good place for families to gather and enjoy the sun. Lifeguards are available if you choose to take a dip, and picnic tables cater to folks who want to indulge in a snack. Also in the area are restrooms, telephones and food vendors.
