3. Cape Cod Central Railroad

DOWNTOWN.   Although it offers other excursions, this railroad is best known for its "elegant dinner train," which couples a three-hour ride with a five-course dinner. Views of marshes, bogs, forest, and dunes distinguish the trip, and the main course features beef tenderloin, fish, or chicken. The dining car itself is a restored, vintage coach, set with white linens. A full bar is available, and proper dress is required.
