4. Hallet's Store

YARMOUTH.   It's almost like a step back in time at this lunch counter and soda fountain, which were first opened in 1889. Today, the same family operates the place, serving sarsparillas, ice cream sodas, and other old-timey drinks. Amid the yesteryear ambience, ideal for lazing away the better part of an hour, folks also find tasty sandwiches, snacks, and ice cream. Upstairs, the owners have compiled artifacts, photos, and memorabilia from the store's long history and its initial incarnation as a pharmacy. Feel free to look about.   (© 10Best)
