Will never go back.
Would have chosen 0 stars if available. Not a local but come up for 2-3 weeks each summer. Use to get all coffee and desserts there. My wife bought a large bottle of water, went back up for a couple cups of ice kid behind counter handed her two cups of ice and the short little owner reaches up and actually takes them back! Says he'll go broke if he gives out to go cups with ice to everybody. It was a liter bottle of water! Get some customer service! Tell me you have charge .50 to a dollar for a cup of ice....Worst place in the world! Only good thing is that I refused to by coffee there and stumpled upon La Petite France Cafe right up the street. Coffee is better and the fresh pastries are insane.

Few of these places left
Café e Dolci is located on Main St, Hyannis on Cape Cod. Its one of the few cafes left in the area that still make it a point to bake all in house and provide they’re loyal year round customers with fresh products. Tourist may taste a slice of Italy on quaint little Cape Cod and enjoy an array of both Italian and traditional American treats.
The place is a little bit a ‘hole in the wall’ and does need a little ‘sprucing up’ but honestly it’s a great place of both a simple lunch or a meet up with an old friend over fabulous coffee/lattes.
Like any place though there are wait staff there to serve you and others that seem like you’re bothering them by asking them to do their job. Look past the few wait staff that seem annoyed at making money… the crew over all are great and do their job well.

I disagree. Having been a customer for six years, there are countless reasons for me to keep coming back. The paninis and coffee are AMAZING, the desserts are sinfully good, and the staff and owners are friendly. The place may be casual, but the atmosphere is both charming and private so you can read quietly or entertain a group of friends. 5/5.

Caffe' e Dolci is the filthiest restaurant we have ever visited. We ordered 2 panini sandwiches, then tossed them in the trash. Sorry we didn't notice how dirty everything was until we had already placed the order. They should hang a sign: EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK. Rated a one star only because zero wasn't available.
