2. Dalt Vila

Two headless Roman statues still guard the main entrance to the Dalt Vila, or upper part of Old Town Ibiza. Construction started with the Carthaginians, then the Arabs, and finally the Romans; the walls and the fortifications are now some of the best-preserved in Europe. Behind these walls are magnificent old buildings, museums and even working offices. At night, Dalt Vila is one of the hottest spots in town with bars and shops that remain open very late in the summer.   (© 10Best)
